Today we bring you our final NFL Mock Draft. We have gone through rumors and base it off what we feel best for the team. This is going to be very bold as I expect some unexpected moves this draft. I may or may not be right as I am not an expert but mostly no one gets its right. Theres going to be trades which I use the Rich Hill model for trading and prior trading history. The Rich Hill model seems to be the most up to date trading model teams use. So without further hesitation I give you my final NFL Mock Draft.
1. Cincinnati Bengals – Joe Burrow (QB)
Bengals listened to offers but they are done playing around. Take Burrow and be happy.
2. Washington Redskins – Chase Young (DE)
Redskins currently fielding calls for the pick. In the end Ron Rivera makes the call and takes the best prospect on the board.
3. Miami Dolphins* – Tua Tagovailoa (QB)
Dolphins trade up with the Lions to get a QUARTERBACK. Yes they could draft a tackle but I believe they are sending mixed signals. Franchise quarterback is the need and they get one despite injury concerns. They give up pick 26 in order to do so.
Miami sends pick 5 and 26 to Detroit for pick 3.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars* – Jeffrey Okudah (CB)
Wild things could happen in this draft so I am taking my shot. I believe the Jaguars need an elite cornerback for their defense. They lost Ramsey and Bouye this last year. With the Lions trading back they jump on the opportunity to grab him giving up their second and a future 1st. They have multiple picks and could get draft capital if they move Yannick and Fournette. This also helps the Giant out by moving back just enough.
Jaguars send pick 9, 42 and future first (LAR) to NYG for pick 4.
5. Detroit Lions* – Isaiah Simmons (Defense)
Lions miss out on Okudah but decide to take the next best prospect on their board. Patricia needs a do it all defender for his defensive scheme and Simmons is that.
6. LA Chargers – Justin Herbert (QB)
LA seems to be split on drafting a tackle or a quarterback for the future. I know coach Lynn believes in Taylor but I do not. Taylor is not the answer. They come to their senses and take Herbert for the future and if Taylor struggles he becomes the starter.
7. Carolina Panthers – Derrick Brown (DL)
Panthers attempt to trade back but most of the teams trading up are in their division. They settle with Derrick Brown who is a tremendous pick. He revives that defensive front and starts the rebuild on the defensive side of the ball.
8. Atlanta Falcons* – C.J. Henderson (CB)
Falcons will be very aggressive this draft and the Cardinals are open to trading back. They give up their second and a future second to get their man. Henderson has been rumored to be on top of a ton of draft boards. The Falcons need an instant starter in their secondary who could become a star. Henderson is the real deal watch out.
Atlanta sends pick 16, 47 and future 2nd for Ari pick 8.
9. NY Giants* – Jedrick Wills (OT)
Wills has been linked to the Giants recently. This could be a bit late for the tackles but with the way teams are looking at cornerbacks and quarterbacks they could fall. Wills would be a terrific player for the Giants scheme and could be ready to start by day 1.
10. Denver Broncos* – Jerry Jeudy (WR)
Another trade up occurs with the Broncos. The Browns want to trade down and I have seen the Broncos want Jeudy. He is my top receiver and would give that offense an elite weapon for years to come.
Denver sends pick 15, 77, and 95 for Browns pick 10.
11. NY Jets – Tristan Wirfs (OT)
The Jets have been reported to be very high on Henry Ruggs. More recently though I think they have been talked about to get an offensive tackle. It is the biggest team need and Wirfs is a terrific player who could desperately help their line.
12. Vegas Raiders – Henry Ruggs (WR)
Ruggs may not be my favorite receiver left but I think the Raiders are super high on him. His speed makes him super dangerous and could elevate this offense. Gruden is big on speed it just is a good match here.
13. Philadelphia Eagles* – Ceedee Lamb (WR)
Eagles watch Lamb fall a little and decide to strike. The Eagles are going to trade up it is just about finding the right partner. The 49ers are very open to trading back as they can get valuable assets in this deal. The Eagles are aggressively pursuing Lamb and would love to grab him at all costs.
Philadelphia sends pick 21, 53, and 127 for San Fran pick 13.
14. Tampa Bay Bucs – Andrew Thomas (OT)
Tampa Bay could have moved to 7 or 8 but trading with the Panthers was weird and the Falcons out bid them for pick 8. They do luck out as they get a very sound tackle who could protect Brady from day 1.
15. Cleveland Browns* – Ezra Cleveland(OT)
I wanted to trade down again for Cleveland but that was just too difficult to pull off. Put it this way I do not like this pick but the Browns love Cleveland (if only the fans did lol). I do not know if Cleveland will make it to the next round with tackles being in high demand. He played all but 1 snap at left tackle so the Browns make a Browns move and reach to grab their guy.
16. Arizona Cardinals – Javon Kinlaw (DT)
Cardinals move back and reap the benefits of teams needing other positions. I love Kinlaw as a player but with this mock he falls a bit due to a run of other positions. The Cardinals need to boost their defensive front and Kinlaw is athletic enough to do so.
17. Dallas Cowboys – K’lavon Chaisson (DE)
Cowboys fail to trade back but they do get a very good prospect. Chaisson is a speed rusher that the Cowboys currently lack. The Cowboys eventually end up waiting on their secondary needs and grab a terrific player.
18. Miami Dolphins – Mekhi Becton (OT)
Becton ends up falling a bit due to his flagged drug test and the fact he is the least polished of all the tackles. His upside is tremendous but teams go a different route. Miami loves this pick and need a tackle.
19. New Orleans Saints* – Patrick Queen (LB)
Saints have a very complete roster yet they lack some linebacker talent. With some teams in need of a linebacker coming up they trade up to get their guy. Queen is a talented playmaker who could make an instant impact for a team who needs to win now.
New Orleans sends pick 24, 88 for Vegas Pick 19, 121.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars – Xavier McKinney (SF)
Jags say screw it and decide to go full rebuild on their secondary. McKinney is a very talented player who could start right away. This team needs talented playmakers on the back end and will wait until later in the draft to address the offense.
21. San Francisco 49ers* – A.J. Terrell (CB)
San Francisco traded back to gain assets. This is the perfect spot for them to grab a very talented corner in Terrell. He is very physical and lengthy and could pair will with Sherman for next year.
22. Minnesota Vikings– A.J. Epenesa (DE)
I have long said the Vikings need to rebuild their defense before grabbing a receiver. A.J. Epenesa is a very talented defensive end who fell off after a poor combine. With Griffen probably not resigning they grab a player who can make an instant impact on the defensive end.
23. New England Patriots – Yetur Gross-Matos (DE)
Patriots have a ton of needs and although I wanted to put Love here I could not do it. They need to retool this defense and it starts with a defensive edge who can make an impact. I like Gross-Matos to fill the void this team has and he is very good for the scheme Belichick plays.
24. Vegas Raiders* – Kristian Fulton (CB)
Vegas gets to trade back and take a very quality player in Fulton. There is no surprise they need secondary help and Fulton is a very physical player. I like the fit here for the Raiders.
25. Minnesota Vikings – Jaylon Johnson (CB)
The Vikings have been rumored to like Johnson enough to grab him potentially in the first round. He has very good size as was a playmaker at Utah. Again it may be a reach but teams need to get their guys.
26. Detroit Lions* – Jeff Gladney (CB)
After missing out on Okudah the Lions take a cornerback with their second first acquired. Gladney is a solid playmaker who could be the physical presence Patricia is looking for in the secondary.
27. Indianapolis Colts* – Justin Jefferson (WR)
Colts move up to take a falling Jefferson who should not be falling. Did not really want him to fall in this draft but I stand with my logic. Teams may wait on receivers for other positions because how deep of a class it is. Colts do need a receiver though to boost this offense.
Indianapolis sends pick 34, 75 for Seattle pick 27, 133.
28. Baltimore Ravens – Kenneth Murray (LB)
Ravens wait patiently and have the player they like fall to them. Murray is a terrific linebacker who could become the next great Raven. He plays well laterally and could get in the backfield with his quickness to make plays.
29. Tennessee Titans – Noah Igbinoghene (CB)
Titans try to trade back but cannot find any suitors for Jordan Love. They have a hole at cornerback and just saw a ton of players go off the board. Igbinoghene is not the most polished player but he does have talent. He is very physical and has good instincts which could help this defense.
30. Green Bay Packers –Zack Baun (LB)
Packers have need at linebacker and although Baun is listed at edge I think they move him. Baun is a bit undersized for the edge position and could make a very good linebacker. I have seen reports of teams moving him to that position on their board.
31. San Francisco 49ers – Ross Blacklock (DT)
The 49ers may trade back again but I really like this pick. They have a need at defensive tackle who can be a space eating player. Blacklock is a very quick big man who can fit that mold. Look for him to be a quality pick here.
32. Kansas City Chiefs – Cesar Ruiz (IOL)
Ruiz rounds up the first round as he is a very talented interior lineman. The Chiefs could increase their talent level in the interior of the line. Ruiz is a top talent who could go earlier but eventually falls due to a run on defensive prospects.
I hope you guys enjoyed our final NFL Mock draft. Again this is just a version I have laid out with teams looking to make moves for defensive players. Tackles may not fall but I wanted to be a bit bold and I expect unexpected moves in this draft. I hope you all enjoy the draft and let us know what you would change in our final NFL Mock draft.
