The week 1 waiver wire is very important for those who both won and lost this past weekend. We not only saw some players break out but saw some injuries that can impact rosters. Whether you feel confident about your roster or not you should be trying to add these players. They both have short term value as well as long term value. Here are the week 1 waiver wire adds.
Most likely Hines is rostered in your league. Yet if he is not you have to grab him now. For one we know Mack will be missing the rest of the year with an achilles injury. Taylor could serve as the early down back but Hines will be used a ton in the passing game. He had 8 receptions this past Sunday and finished as RB 4 in ppr leagues. Grab him now.
Kelley was a player I liked during camp. He was receiving a decent amount of work and was very efficient. He saw 12 carries and had 60 yards. We also saw him get a touchdown which is very good for fantasy purposes. With Jackson nursing an injury Kelley could fill in as the Mark Ingram role for this offense. Grab him with hopes he continues to have a solid role in this offense.
I was completely fading the Rams backfield this offseason. Yet for those who need a running back Brown is a very good option. If he continues to be as effective as he was Sunday Night he could get most of the touches. His 110 total yards and two touchdowns put him as top 5 for the week so far. Grab him in your leagues.
Could Scotty Miller be the Julian Edelman of this offense? I certainly think so. No the guy won’t put up massive numbers as his ceiling is capped. Yet in the flex for ppr leagues he could have tremendous value. Brady will continue to target him and if he scores that could win weeks. Pick him up while you can.
Gage is not own in many leagues yet he had a huge week. In fact all 3 Falcons receivers finished top 10 Sunday for PPR leagues. Now again while top 10 every week may be unrealistic he could be a solid flex play. With the Falcons defense looking terrible the game script may work in his favor. Pick him up in hopes of producing quality flex numbers.
According to ESPN Reagor is owned by only 28.5% of teams. Why is that? Yes he had the injury but when healthy we know he has big play ability. We saw one big catch by him early on and Wentz missed another close one. Pick him up in hopes that he breaks out.
Of course I finish this off with two Eagles. I know they looked terrible and yes I have faith in Reagor. Yet Goedert is only owned by about 25% of teams and he needs to be picked up. No he is not the best tight end on his team but he might be the second best receiving option for this team. If Wentz can get the ball out of his hand he could be a very good start any given week.
