Week 6 Waiver Wire

The week 6 waiver wire will have teams searching for a quarterback. Sadly Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury. As a top 5 quarterback surely people will have to start streaming the position. The week 6 waiver wire also has several receivers who broke out in week 5. With this stretch of weeks crucial for teams to stay alive in the playoff race now is the time to strike. Here are some of our favorite players for the week 6 waiver wire. The percentage for the week 6 waiver wire are from ESPN

QB Streamers

Ryan Fitzpatrick (19.9%)

Fitzpatrick has been on fire this season. He currently is QB 7 on the year and has put up 4 weeks of 20 or more fantasy points. This week he gets the Jets which is an average match up. Yet with the way he has been throwing the ball I expect him to put up QB 1 numbers yet again. If you are a Dak Prescott owner grab Fitzpatrick to stream for week 6.

Fitzpatrick has been on fire lately and could be a strong streaming option.

Jared Goff (47.1%)

Goff has been terrific on the road. He is averaging 25.2 fantasy ppg on the road compared to 11.1 ppg at home. This week he goes on the road against a 49ers team that has been getting torched lately. The last two weeks both Wentz and Fitzpatrick has put up QB 1 numbers. I expect Goff to have a great game and could be a solid replacement for Dak owners.

Running Backs

Alexander Mattison (41.6%)

Cook came out of the game last night with a groin injury. While the severity is still unknown it is clear that Mattison could have an increased role the next few weeks. Mattison looked efficient when he touched the ball. He has the ability to put up high end RB 2 numbers in this offense and is the perfect cuff. Look to grab him in your leagues if he is available.

Mattison could be a big play if Cook misses time.

Chase Edmonds (46.5%)

Edmonds is currently RB 27 in ppr formats. He saw 5 catches each of the past few weeks and is quickly becoming a flex worth option. This is another player I was very high on as a late round league winner. With Drake struggling so far this season Edmonds has the opportunity to capitalize and get more touches. To me he could be an RB 2 eventually in ppr leagues every single week and needs to be rostered.

Wide Receivers

Chase Claypool (8.8%)

Claypool capitalized on Diontae Johnson leaving the game in a huge way. He had 7 catches for 110 yards and 4 total touchdowns! He was the top fantasy produced in week 5 and looked incredible. To me he needs to be the top week 6 waiver wire add for any league. Moving forward I can see him being used a ton move in a pass happy offense. Grab him while you can.

Claypool has a historic performance this past Sunday.

Travis Fulgham (.02%)

Fulgham exploded this week as the team continues to struggle with injuries. If both Jackson and Jeffery continue to miss time Fulgham could continue to be a solid flex play. He had 10 receptions this past week for 152 yards on 13 targets. He also saw a very big touchdown in this matchup. If you need a receiver for the next few weeks look to grab him.

Laviska Shenault Jr (32%)

Shenault is starting to be utilized more and more frequently in this offense. He had 7 catches this past week on 8 targets for a quality fantasy week. I expect moving forward the Jaguars will try to get him more involved in this offense in different ways. As a flex play he should be rostered in most of your leagues.

Tight Ends

Cameron Brate (9.4%)

Brate was the beneficiary of the OJ Howard injury. He saw a season high 6 targets which is 3 times as much as he saw all year. Moving forward he could potentially see high end tight end 2 numbers if he keeps getting looks. With the tight end position being whacky again though do not look to spend a lot on a tight end.
